3StepYoga™ · Yoga Education & Professional Development
Go deeper into yoga.
Discover where it takes you.
You don’t have to want to teach yoga to study it deeply. Explore yoga training, philosophy, movement, breathwork, and meditation to deepen your practice, support your personal growth, or prepare to guide others. There is room here for all of those intentions, and for discovering yours along the way.
Curiosity is a place to begin
You can come to learn.
You don’t have to come to teach.
Maybe you want to understand what you’re doing in class and why. Maybe you’re curious about yoga philosophy, breathwork, meditation, or how movement works in different bodies.
Maybe you’re considering teaching, but you’re not ready to make that decision. Or maybe you already teach and want to deepen the way you support others.
Yoga education can meet you in any of those places. Your reason for learning does not need to look like anyone else’s.
A note from Jules
“When I enrolled in my first 200-hour yoga training, I wasn’t planning to teach. I wanted to learn. Teaching became part of my path later, but it didn’t have to. You’re welcome to begin with curiosity, without knowing where it will lead.”

The name describes the scope of the education, including learning how to guide practice responsibly. It does not mean every participant must pursue a teaching career. You’ll study the full curriculum and participate in practice teaching and assessments, even if your intention is personal learning.

Before You Begin
Questions about yoga education.
Do I have to want to become a yoga teacher?
No. You’re welcome to join a 200-hour training for personal growth, a deeper understanding of yoga, or a more informed personal practice. You’ll still participate in the full curriculum, including practice teaching and assessments. Those experiences help you apply what you’re learning; they don’t require you to pursue a teaching career.
Why take yoga teacher training if I don’t plan to teach?
A structured training gives you time and guidance to explore subjects that a regular class may only briefly introduce: anatomy, philosophy, breathwork, meditation, movement, ethics, and the reasoning behind different practices. You can value that education for its own sake.
Do I need an advanced physical yoga practice?
You do not need to perform advanced poses to begin exploring yoga education. Learning involves curiosity, participation, reflection, and respect for individual differences. Review your chosen program’s requirements and contact Jules if you have questions about access or participation.
Will I still need to practice teaching?
Yes. Practice teaching and assessments are part of the full 200-hour curriculum. They help you organize your understanding, communicate clearly, and explore guiding practice with feedback. Participating does not mean you must teach professionally after graduation.
Does teaching yoga have to mean working in a studio?
No. Teaching may take different forms, such as community classes, private sessions, online offerings, or workshops, depending on your preparation, experience, and the setting’s requirements. Completing a foundational training does not replace specialist education, professional licensing, or additional qualifications a setting may require.
Can I complete yoga training online?
The Hatha-Vinyasa program offers a fully online self-paced pathway and a mentored hybrid pathway. The Vinyasa Sculpt program follows a separate hybrid format with required in-person training. Visit each program page to compare the details.
What is the difference between training, continuing education, and mentorship?
A 200-hour yoga training builds a broad foundation. Beyond Technique is structured continuing education for teachers refining their skills. Professional mentorship provides individualized guidance around teaching questions and goals. The standalone mentorship offer does not award a new certification or Yoga Alliance training hours.
Can I explore your approach before enrolling?
Yes. Start with the free resources, articles, meditations, or Modern Yoga Talks podcast. If you’re considering a training, you can also contact Jules to discuss your interests and decide whether the format fits your needs.
