What you need to know
These are the policies most likely to affect your enrollment. The complete governing language appears below and in the downloadable policy packet.
All Hours Required
Every missed instructional hour must be completed through an approved equivalent activity before graduation.
On-Site Hour Threshold
More than 15 missed on-site hours requires a future cohort, approved alternative pathway, or withdrawal.
Enrollment Amount
Credited toward tuition and subject to the cancellation and refund policy.
Applied-Training Ratio
Maximum ratio for movement instruction, teaching laboratories, and practicum evaluation.
TUITION CLARITY
Refunds depend on when written notice is received.
The Program Start Date is the first scheduled structured online instructional activity—not the first in-person weekend.
Written cancellation within seven calendar days of initial payment, received at least 30 calendar days before the Program Start Date.
After the seven-day cancellation period but at least 30 calendar days before the Program Start Date: 75% of the refundable tuition balance above the $500 enrollment amount.
Fewer than 30 calendar days before the Program Start Date or on or after that date, except when required by applicable law.
A documented medical emergency, military assignment, or employer-required relocation may qualify for a one-time program credit under the complete policy.

Each section below contains the official policy language governing enrollment, participation, completion, and certification.
-
Trainees are expected to uphold professional conduct throughout the program and in all supervised teaching activities. They must:
• Respect student autonomy, confidentiality, identity, culture, personal boundaries, and the right to decline any option or contact.
• Use physical contact only with specific, current, revocable consent and within documented competence.
• Teach within a wellness-education scope and refer students to qualified licensed professionals when a need is outside that scope.
• Not diagnose, prescribe treatment, promise healing, or represent yoga instruction as medical, rehabilitative, nutritional, or mental-health care.
• Avoid harassment, discrimination, retaliation, coercion, sexual misconduct, and misuse of teacher authority.
• Follow Yoga Alliance’s Ethical Commitment and the school’s code of conduct.ion text goes here
-
All 200 instructional hours are required for graduation. The school documents on-site attendance, arrival and departure times, structured online completion, and every approved make-up activity.
ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
• Every missed instructional hour must be completed through an approved equivalent learning activity.
• Absences exceeding 15 on-site hours require the trainee to join a future cohort, complete an approved alternative pathway, or withdraw from the program.
• Graduation is not granted until all required hours and the associated competency evidence are complete.
• Attendance is tracked through signed daily rosters, faculty verification, platform records, and make-up documentation.
APPROVED MAKE-UP METHODS
• A scheduled make-up intensive, including the reserved make-up weekend of March 6–7, 2027.
• A one-to-one faculty review or equivalent faculty-led instructional session.
• Faculty-approved replacement teaching, practicum, laboratory, or assessment work that addresses the missed objectives.
• A future-cohort session covering the same required content.
• An approved synchronous remote session or structured online replacement activity when it addresses the same objectives, produces equivalent assessment evidence, and is permitted within the school’s authorized RYS delivery controls.
Independent reading, unstructured personal practice, or unsupervised replacement activity does not substitute for missed on-site instruction unless it is part of a written faculty-approved make-up plan with defined evidence and verified hours.
LATE ARRIVAL AND EARLY DEPARTURE
• Arrival more than 20 minutes late or departure more than 20 minutes early is recorded as a partial absence.
• Three partial absences constitute one full attendance absence for program-policy purposes.
• Actual missed instructional time remains subject to hour-for-hour completion regardless of the number of occurrences.
-
The program is delivered through eight hybrid modules. Each module combines four structured online hours during the assigned weekday window with one 21-hour on-site weekend at Warrior Won Yoga Studio in Valley Park, Missouri.
C1. STRUCTURED ONLINE INSTRUCTION
Structured online instruction is assigned learning completed through the approved platform. Each online block must:
• Be assigned in advance and aligned with stated curriculum objectives.
• Identify a reasonable expected completion time that contributes to the 32-hour online total.
• Require a submission, knowledge check, reflection, recorded demonstration, or other documented learning artifact.
• Be reviewed or verified by faculty through platform records and the applicable assessment process.
Unstructured personal practice, optional enrichment, administrative communication, or time spent beyond the stated assignment expectation does not qualify as an instructional hour.
When a recorded movement or teaching demonstration is assigned, the trainee must provide sufficient visibility for faculty evaluation unless an approved accommodation is documented.
C2. ON-SITE INSTRUCTION
On-site instruction occurs with faculty present and actively teaching, supervising, observing, or providing real-time feedback.
It may include guided practice, lecture, discussion, anatomy and biomechanics laboratories, sequence design, demonstrations, partner work, teaching laboratories, supervised practicum, evaluation, and feedback.
Breaks, meals, check-in administration, and optional activities are excluded from instructional hours.
C3. HYBRID DELIVERY STRUCTURE
• Structured online education: 32 hours. Verified through assigned work, platform records, submitted evidence, and faculty verification.
• On-site education: 168 hours. Verified through signed rosters, faculty records, supervised instruction, and assessment evidence.
• Total: 200 instructional hours. No double-counting of hours is permitted.
The 168 on-site hours are synchronous. The 32 structured online hours are completed within the assigned module windows and are not used to replace required on-site practice teaching, laboratories, or final practicum assessment.
C4. APPROVED ALTERNATIVE COMPLETION PATHWAY
The published 32-hour structured-online and 168-hour on-site allocation governs the scheduled cohort.
When a documented hardship is approved under the Tuition, Withdrawal, Refund, and Credit Policy, the school may authorize a future-cohort transfer, synchronous remote instruction, structured online replacement work, or another equivalent completion plan.
An alternative pathway is not guaranteed. It may be used only when permitted within the school’s authorized RYS delivery controls and when it preserves:
• All 200 instructional hours.
• At least 30 synchronous hours.
• Required faculty oversight.
• Competency coverage.
• Practice teaching.
• Practicum assessment.
• Attendance evidence.
Completion through an alternative pathway does not reduce graduation requirements.
STANDARDS ALIGNMENT
Terminology, hour classifications, documentation practices, and delivery controls will be updated as necessary to remain consistent with current Yoga Alliance standards.
Any update must preserve the approved 200-hour total, competency coverage, assessment evidence, and accurate cohort records.
-
D. TUITION, WITHDRAWAL, REFUND, AND CREDIT POLICY
The $500 enrollment amount is credited toward total tuition and becomes non-refundable when the seven-calendar-day cancellation right ends or immediately when enrollment occurs fewer than 30 calendar days before the Program Start Date.
Payment-plan enrollees pay this amount as the initial deposit. For paid-in-full enrollment, it is included within tuition and is not an additional charge. The refundable tuition balance means tuition paid above the $500 enrollment amount.
TUITION AND DISCLOSURE
Tuition, due dates, payment-plan options, refund terms, and administrative fees are defined in the Enrollment Agreement and disclosed before payment is collected. Trainees are responsible for timely payment. Failure to remain in good financial standing may result in paused access to program components until the account is resolved.
SEVEN-DAY CANCELLATION
A trainee who submits written cancellation within seven calendar days of initial payment receives a full refund, provided the request is received at least 30 calendar days before the Program Start Date.
PARTIAL REFUND
After the seven-day cancellation period, a trainee whose written withdrawal is received at least 30 calendar days before the Program Start Date receives 75 percent of the refundable tuition balance.
NO-CASH-REFUND PERIOD
No cash refund is provided when written withdrawal is received fewer than 30 calendar days before the Program Start Date or on or after that date, except when required by applicable law.
DOCUMENTED HARDSHIP
A trainee experiencing a documented medical emergency, military assignment, or employer-required relocation may qualify for a one-time credit.
Before the program begins, the full amount paid may be credited. After the program begins, the credit is limited to tuition assigned to instructional components not yet offered.
CREDIT USE
An approved credit may be applied to the next available 3StepYoga™ RYS 200 training beginning within 12 months or to an approved online or hybrid completion option when available and permitted within the school’s authorized RYS delivery controls.
Credits have no cash value, are nontransferable, may be used once, and are forfeited upon a second withdrawal. The trainee is responsible for any tuition increase.
PROGRAM START DATE AND NOTICE
The program begins with the first scheduled structured online instructional activity. The effective withdrawal date is the date written notice is received by the Program Director.
SCHOOL CANCELLATION
If the school cancels before the Program Start Date, all payments are refunded. If the school cancels after the program begins, it provides an equivalent completion option or refunds tuition assigned to instruction not yet offered.
DOCUMENTATION
Refund, credit, withdrawal, and cancellation decisions are documented and retained with the trainee’s institutional record.
-
E. TRAINER-TO-TRAINEE RATIO
To protect instructional quality, safety, observation, and appropriate supervision, the program maintains a maximum ratio of one qualified trainer for every 12 trainees during applied movement instruction, teaching laboratories, and practicum evaluation.
When enrollment exceeds this threshold, the school adds qualified faculty support sufficient to provide:
• Adequate supervision of movement-based practice.
• Appropriate observation and evaluation of practicum teaching.
• Timely instructional feedback.
• A safe and accessible learning environment.
The ratio applies specifically to movement and practicum components. Lecture-based sessions may use a different ratio when direct movement supervision is not required and the school can still meet the stated learning and assessment objectives.
-
F. TRAINEE SELECTION PROCESS
A prior yoga teacher training certificate or prior teaching experience is not required. Applicants must complete the school’s foundational-program selection process:
Submit the written application and required enrollment information.
Complete a brief written intake review and, when needed, an interview to confirm readiness for foundational teacher education and participation in a group learning environment.
Receive a written acceptance decision. The school may deny admission when requirements are not met or when documented readiness concerns indicate an elevated risk to the applicant or others in the group training environment.
Complete the Enrollment Agreement and payment confirmation after acceptance.
Applicants must be able to participate safely in the hybrid format, with reasonable accommodations when available; accept the attendance, conduct, consent, academic integrity, grievance, and payment policies; and have access to the technology required for the structured online components.
The school may recommend additional preparation and delay enrollment to a future cohort when that course of action is appropriate.
-
G. ANTI-HARASSMENT AND NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY
3StepYoga™ maintains a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, sexual misconduct, intimidation, and retaliation.
Prohibited conduct includes verbal, physical, visual, or sexual harassment and discrimination based on race, color, ethnicity, national origin, ancestry, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, marital or family status, veteran status, or any other status protected by law.
Complaints may be submitted in writing to the Program Director. If the complaint concerns the Program Director, it may be submitted to the designated school administrator.
Complaints are treated as confidential to the extent reasonably possible, reviewed within seven business days, and resolved through written documentation retained with restricted access.
-
H. ACCESSIBILITY AND INCLUSION POLICY
3StepYoga™ is committed to equitable and inclusive education. The program welcomes trainees of diverse identities and backgrounds, uses inclusive and non-discriminatory language, and supports participation across varied body types, movement histories, and physical capacities.
Reasonable accommodations are provided when requested and when they do not fundamentally alter an essential competency, remove a required assessment, or create an undue safety risk.
Requests should be submitted in writing before the program begins or as soon as the need becomes known.
Faculty document the approved accommodation and apply it consistently while preserving confidentiality.
-
I. GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE
Submit a written grievance to the Program Director. If the complaint concerns the Program Director, submit it to the designated school administrator.
The school acknowledges the grievance and initiates review within seven days.
A resolution meeting is scheduled within 14 days when a meeting is needed to complete the review.
The school issues a written determination identifying findings, corrective action when applicable, and available internal next steps.
If the matter remains unresolved, the parties may use appropriate external mediation or another lawful external process.
All grievances, supporting records, findings, and resolutions are stored securely. Retaliation for good-faith reporting or participation in the grievance process is prohibited.
-
J. ANTI-RETALIATION POLICY
No trainee, trainer, faculty member, staff member, or applicant may be punished, threatened, intimidated, harassed, disadvantaged, or otherwise penalized for:
• Reporting a concern in good faith.
• Participating in an investigation or grievance process.
• Requesting an accommodation or policy clarification.
REPORTING AND REVIEW
Reports may be submitted in writing to the Program Director or, when the report concerns the Program Director, to the designated school administrator. Reports are reviewed promptly and handled confidentially to the greatest extent reasonably possible.
INVESTIGATION AND OUTCOME
Retaliation reports are documented, reviewed, and resolved in writing. Confirmed retaliation may result in corrective action up to and including dismissal from the program or termination of teaching or administrative responsibilities, depending on the person’s role and the severity of the conduct.
-
K. DATA RETENTION AND DATA STORAGE
The school retains enrollment documents, attendance logs, structured online completion records, faculty verification, assessment evidence, remediation and appeal records, practicum evaluations, grievance and retaliation records, refund or withdrawal determinations, and certificate issuance records for a minimum of five years.
Records are stored digitally with restricted administrative access, protected through reasonable security practices, and made available for Yoga Alliance audit or lawful review when required.
Access is limited to authorized personnel with a legitimate educational, administrative, or legal need.
-
L. PUBLIC REPRESENTATION AND MARKETING POLICY
REPRESENTATION OF COMPLETION AND CREDENTIAL
Graduates who satisfy all requirements may accurately state that they completed the 3StepYoga™ 200-Hour Vinyasa Sculpt Teacher Training and received the school’s 200-hour teacher training certificate.
Yoga Alliance registration is a separate application process administered by Yoga Alliance. The school does not guarantee registration or authorization to use an RYT credential.
Trainees and graduates may not:
• Represent themselves as medical, mental-health, rehabilitation, nutrition, or other licensed healthcare providers unless they separately hold the applicable license.
• Claim an unearned credential, misrepresent completion status, or imply Yoga Alliance registration before it has been granted.
• Misrepresent the scope or outcomes of yoga instruction or make medical or therapeutic guarantees.
• Use the 3StepYoga™ name, curriculum, marks, or training materials to offer a commercial teacher training without written authorization.
SCHOOL MARKETING
School marketing must accurately describe this as one integrated 200-hour Vinyasa Sculpt teacher training.
It may not advertise a separate embedded certification, promise Yoga Alliance registration, or make medical or therapeutic claims.
Improper representation may result in corrective action, up to withdrawal of school endorsement or certificate recognition, consistent with the Enrollment Agreement and applicable process.
